UFC 134 – Yushin Okami described as the best Japanese fighter of all time by Dana White

UFC President, Dana White has today heaped praised on middleweight number one contender, Yushin Okami ahead of his UFC 134 title fight with Anderson Silva later this month in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, calling “Thunder” the greatest Japanese fighter of all time.
Speaking to MMABay.co.uk during today’s media conference call, Dana said:
“In my opinion, Yushin Okami is the best fighter ever to come out of Japan. This guy didn’t fight cans and get this built-up, mythological record. Anderson Silva is fighting for his legacy. Yushin Okami is fighting for respect. If he wins this fight he’ll get the credit he finally deserves.”
Okami rebounded from a set back against Chael Sonnen in 2009 by racking up three impressive and unusually entertaining wins, including decisions against Mark Munoz and Nate Marquardt.
