Full Contact Contender sign deal with Sky TV’s My Channel
The deal will see FCC programing broadcast into homes in the UK via the Sky platform, in addition to a number of European territories. Initially airing in half-hour slots, FCC TV will air full fights and highlight clips of past and future FCC events. Presented by FCC commentator Brad Wharton and interviewer Lauren Teh, the show will highlight the very best of the professional and amateur action on FCC events.
Promoter Adam Teh said, “We’re absolutely delighted to have signed our very first broadcast deal with My Channel. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come in less than two years, but a TV deal was always one of my long term goals and now it’s a reality. Incredibly, we had a number of offers on the table, but the partnership with My Channel was the one that suited us best.”
“The deal will provide more MMA programming to fans in the UK via the Sky platform. For both our amateur and professional fighters, it’ll mean increased exposure as we produce regular new content which will be broadcast multiple times on the channel. It all adds up to make FCC an even more attractive destination for amateur and pro fighters in the UK.”
Teh continued, “We at FCC are delighted to be dipping our toes into the broadcast world. Producing our own TV show is going to be a great challenge, and the team is raring to go. Since day one, FCC has been all about providing a platform for amateur MMA, and now we have a bigger platform than ever. I can’t wait to get the ball rolling and bring some FCC action to viewers of My Channel in the UK and beyond!”
With the ink still drying on the deal, broadcast details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
